Graduation

I probably have a track post or two to catch up on here, but for the most part you won't be seeing posts here anymore. Just as the kids have graduated from Lewis and Clark, they will be graduating from Lewis and Clark Sports (lcsports.blogspot.com) to Jefferson City Sports (jcsports.blogspot.com), so you might want to update your bookmarks.

This will be the last video posted here, so enjoy as our kids graduate to the next level.

You can even find Jefferson City Sports at your favorite Internet Cafe.

Columbia Relays on Monday

The Lewis and Clark 8th Grade Trailblazers will head to Rock Bridge for the Columbia Relays on Monday. The meet is scheduled to begin at 4pm.

UPDATE: We, as well as others from both Jefferson City and Columbia, found out that Rock Bridge was not actually the venue for today's track meet. The Activities Hotline clued us in and routed us on to Hickman.

Not sure when, but the online schedule did get updated to reflect that it was the Optimist Relays and held at Hickman.

The original paper version of the 8th Grade Track & Field Schedule had the meet against Jeff Jr and Southern Boone shown as taking place on 4/10. This meet actually takes place tomorrow 4/7. It is reflected correctly on the My School Calendar site.

Runners, on your mark.....

Some have wondered why the kids listen to the coaches. Okay, before we get into too much trouble, the gun in coaches hand is simply a starter's pistol that was handled appropriately, as today was time trials. I believe all of the kids were timed at 100m and 300m.

And if it makes all of you parents feel any better the kids don't always do what they are told at school either.

Time Trials

It is my understanding that Time Trials will actually begin today instead of tomorrow as noted on the schedule, do to the the nice weather forecast.

Track Practice

I believe Track Practice begins on 2/25/08 for the 8th Grade Boys and Girls.

Per the sports schedule it looks as though Time Trials will be held at Lewis and Clark on 3/13/08 at 3:30pm.

I imagine we should hear more from the kids once practice begins.
